TRAINEE – TowaRd Market-Based Skills for SustAINable Energy Efficient Construction (2018–2020)
The TRAINEE project advanced the BUILD UP Skills initiative in North Macedonia by developing innovative training programmes, certification schemes and recognition of prior learning for professionals across the construction value chain. The project promoted energy-efficient and renewable energy construction practices, introduced Building Information Modelling (BIM) training and established the Knowledge and Skills Management Centre (K&S Centre) as the national knowledge hub to ensure the long-term sustainability of the BUILD UP Skills initiative. It also created a national register of certified professionals and strengthened cooperation between industry, education and public institutions, supporting the transition towards a highly skilled and sustainable construction sector.
